Terra Proxyma has engaged with a multinational logistics company to create an HR management system for a subsidiary in China. The company has a proprietary world-wide HR system but needs specific customization for the local Chinese jurisdiction. 

Key elements in the project are the ability to customize a payments system to conform to local accounting, fiscal, and employment laws as well as to incorporate the company’s own rules and regulations for managing staff. In addition, the system has to be available in English and Chinese. As the system is implemented, additional modules can be added depending on required functionality.

The Chinese system will interface with the global corporate system via an automated data transfer. Terra’s ERP and HR systems can integrate with any other corporate applications in a number of ways, ensuring a close integration where necessary, but at the same time providing independent business processes.

Terra’s ERP/HR systems are based on Open Source software which means our client benefits from a software application with no annual license fees and no limits on number of users or volume of data processed. The client pays only for the customization services.

The system is due to go live in June 2011.
